The Challenge
At a school without any any dedicated fashion program, serving as President of the FIU Honors College Fashion Club required more than direction, but establishment as well. A core challenge was building a recognizable, cohesive brand identity for an inactive student organization — while simultaneously conceptualizing consistent content. Beyond those challenges, we raised our ambitions further, aiming to position HCFC as a legitimate professional and creative organization, not just a student club.
The Re-Launch
The rebrand began with developing full brand guidelines, from logo variations, to color palettes, official typography, and vision and mission statements. Social strategy was built around recurring content pillars, including Fashion Fact Friday, street style highlight reels, and event flyers, all designed to mix educational value with community personality and professional ambition. Events ranged from fun holiday parties with a DIY ugly sweater activation, to a professional panel, "Tailoring Careers in Fashion," each with custom (and branded) marketing collateral.
Outcome & Impact
The club launched with a fully documented brand system, doubling Instagram following within 3 months, and a semester of programming that included panel events, social media series, masterclasses, and community-building activations — building membership and visibility within FIU.
